SOME TIPS TO LOWER BAD CHOLESTEROL
WATCH YOUR WEIGHT.
CUT THE FAT. Avoid butter, meat, cheese, hydrogenated oil, processed foods and packaged foods with preservatives. Limit your fat intake to 2 tsp per day which should be olive oil, canola oil or peanut oil.
INCLUDE BEANS IN YOUR DIET. Beans like soybeans, French beans, kidney beans, navy beans, pinto beans, lima beans, or legumes or pulses etc. have pectin which has cholesterol lowering effect.
EAT MORE FRUIT. Apple, grapefruit, oranges, etc. contain a good amount of pectin.
